Supporting United Way of Forsyth County, N.C.

In our headquarters city of Winston-Salem, HanesBrands have given more than $41 million since 1999 to the United Way chapter to support families in need through our Forsyth County community campaign.

In 2016, the annual employee campaign raised $2.1 million for the United Way. Funding was provided by 2,500 Forsyth County Hanes employees.

This generosity is a testament to how much our employees care about their community. Their contributions are vital to helping the United Way provide critical services to those in need.

As a result of our most recent campaign, employees donated 10,000 non-perishable food items, and $13,000 to a local food bank.

The United Way of North Carolina awarded Hanes the 2016 Spirit of North Carolina Award. The award recognizes outstanding commitment and support to communities through local United Way involvement. This is the company’s 10th Spirit Award since 2006.

Hanes and our employees are also the recipients of the Decade of Excellence award from United Way of Forsyth County, for record donations over a 10 year period and a commitment to community volunteerism.
