In March 2015, HanesBrands was named by the Great Place to Work Institute as a top 2015 employer in Central America and the Caribbean.
During the Central America awards ceremony in Panama on March 9, 2015, Hanes was honored with the following 2015 Great Place to Work awards:

In July 2014, more than 1,500 employees from Hanes facilities in Honduras volunteered to clean approximately 5 kilometers of Travesia Beach and plant 300 palm trees in Puerto Cortes. The attendance marks a record in the company’s volunteer program in Honduras.

More than 1,000 Honduran children received back-to-school health services, medicines and vitamins in February 2014, thanks to the HanesBrands Green for Good program.
A two-day medical brigade, held at the Marcelino López and José Trindidad Cabañas schools in Choloma, was organized and staffed by about 60 Hanes volunteers.
The attending medical team included four doctors and three nurses
In June 2013, the company and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center partnered to provide basic health services to more than 1,700 contract employees and their families in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, during a two-day medical mission.
The idea to host the medical mission came during one of Hanes and Wake Forest surgical trips to the Dominican Republic in
