For the third consecutive year, Hanes offices in El Salvador have been recognized by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy called CEMEFI for its Spanish initials – for its contributions to education and community development. Hanes received the 2015 CSR Best Practice Award for Latin America.

As part of Edúcame, an adult education program provided by the El Salvador Ministry of Education, nearly 400 Hanes employees in El Salvador have received their high school diplomas since 2009.

Hanes also purchased supplies and made an investment on behalf of each student. Some of the graduates are now planning to pursue advanced degrees.

Supporting United Way of Forsyth County, N.C.

In our headquarters city of Winston-Salem, HanesBrands have given more than $41 million since 1999 to the United Way chapter to support families in need through our Forsyth County community campaign.

In 2016, the annual employee campaign raised $2.1 million for the United Way. Funding was provided by 2,500 Forsyth County Hanes employees.

HanesBrands Donates to Louisiana Flood Victims

In Sept. 2016, HanesBrands donated more than 23,000 items of clothing to residents affected by devastating flooding in Louisiana.

HanesBrands partnered with Fashion Delivers, a New York based charity, to distribute three trailer loads of first-quality product, including T-shirts, socks, bras, underwear and other apparel to flood victims.
